EU Pork 'the Smart Choice' Wows Industry Stakeholders at WOFEX Manila 2025


The EU Pork campaign, “EU Pork, the Smart Choice”, made a distinguished impact at the World Food Expo (WOFEX) Manila 2025, held from August 6 to 9, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center and World Trade Center.


Across four days, the campaign spotlighted the superior qualities of European pork from Spain and Portugal, reinforcing its reputation as a world-leading pork exporter. Visitors were introduced to the pillars of EU Pork: exceptional quality, strict food safety protocols, sustainability, and animal welfare – all hallmarks of European pork production. 


The campaign booth drew strong interest from importers, distributors, chefs, and culinary professionals. Live cooking demonstrations and expert ham-carving sessions showcased the premium taste and versatility of European pork, giving attendees an immersive experience of European gastronomy.


Beyond the expo, WOFEX Manila also paved the way for deeper collaboration. Following the connections forged at the event, a delegation of ten Filipino food industry leaders will travel to Spain and Portugal from September 22 to 26, 2025. They will visit pork processing facilities and witness firsthand the high standards, innovation, and expertise driving European pork production, further strengthening trade and cultural ties between the Philippines and Europe.


By participating in WOFEX Manila 2025, the campaign reaffirmed its commitment to promoting European pork in Southeast Asia and delivering premium products from Spain and Portugal to global markets.
